I landed in Peoria in 1981. Claire was one of my first employers at the Private Industry Council, and her help and example were/are priceless. We kept in touch over the years, and she even helped at my wedding! I'll always be grateful I got to know her in life, and I hope to continue to learn to live with her grace and energy.

Aunt Claire has been with me my entire life -- only occasionally in person, but always in spirit. It is inconceivable that she could ever be forgotten by any one who knew her even slightly. She was so full of life, constantly curious about everything, always up for adventure of some kind or other. And, in the raising of seven children, adventure was certainly never in short supply. She was no tolerator of nonsense -- similarly in ample stock, it may be guessed, amongst seven offspring -- but had a heart of pure gold. She will be missed by all of us who knew her. But more important, she will always be part of all of us. And that is what she would have wanted most of all.

I met Claire on the golf course and played many years with her. She was quick to give helpful advise on the finner points of the game. Claire became a good friend as time passed. You could always depend on Claire to tell you exactly what she thought about any subject. I respected her thirst for learning and was introduced to many subjects because of her studies. By her life she gave us a model as to how to get the most out of life.

i will always remember Claire.twenty years ago we both had schools and were contractors with the peoria private industry council. before that claire was a part of the industry council. she was a sweet,intelligent,warm,and classy lady. she always had kind words and good advice.whatever she could do to help somebody she never hesitated.she was a woman of GOD and always talked about her work with Cursillo.May God comfort her family,i know you will miss her because i surely will.

We only met Claire at Nancy and Steve's wedding but she was a real treat, a woman with lots of umph. She made quite an impression on us and we think very highly of her. May she rest in peace and may all her loved ones find peace as they learn to keep her in their lives in new ways.

This has been a hard month and and an even harder week for our family, but we are also a very strong family and Grandma has always been the glue keeping us together and even in death she has brought us closer than ever. So thank you Grandma and I Love and miss you so so much. I know you're watching me from the cosmos and you're in a better place. Now you can watch what's going on with the family all at once (I'm sure you like that). Rest in Peace Grandma I Love Love Love You.

Your mom was a good friend to our family, she will be missed. We can relate to your loss as Ruthy left us just a few months ago. They were such good friends and shared their faith in Jesus with many. I like to think of them having a great visit with Him in Paradise! Sorry for your loss. She was a good woman.
